Luigi Mangione

Let me do some brainwork for you, I think he was pointing out the hypocrisy of the situation, I don't think he was equating the two. Stop being disingenuous.

wow I hadn't thought of that, I'm super dumb btw and have never had a single original thought in my head... or is what you're saying HYPER OBVIOUS and I'm making a different point?

I was pointing out what their comment sounds and asking a person to do some soul searching BECAUSE if they didnt think about how it sounds to equate being gay with this ceo.

Because their comment sounded homophobic af... a gay person shouldnt think to equate anything but the attack of innocent ppl with the murder of someone over sexuality. It's also bad debate tactics to compare apples to oranges even if you're pointing out hypocrisy.

But somehow I'm being disingenuous... like your comment wasn't doing much of the same with a much less compassionate and more condescending tone... riiiiiiiight.

I thought you guys lusting after Liam Payne as soon as he died was bad, but almost 200 pages on this guy because he’s “hot” even thought he committed murder 😂 wtf is wrong with this site.. I can only imagine what the Boston marathon bomber thread looked like when that went down
There was no sympathy for the Boston Marathon bomber. He killed wholly innocent people for no reason beyond pure terrorism. There was one "attractive" Rolling Stone cover featuring him, which was universally condemned.

I'm actually pretty agnostic on the morals of this situation. I can see where any empathy for Thompson as a murdered individual is being subsumed by the understandable outrage over the health care "industry" in the US, and I'm not wholly comfortable with that. But to compare this situation to the Boston Marathon terrorist is horseshit.

Yes it’s only bad if you think it is. Good for you! Your opinion is the 100% spoken truth. Thank you so much!

But he or others shouldnt be allowed to belittle or disrespect those that are happy sharing and enjoying this topic. Hes not giving his opinion on the topic, he/ they are bullying us in our safe space and a place where discussion is allowed. If theyre not contributing, theyre judging and not fostering discussion but preventing it.
1. Nobody should be allowed to belittle or disrespect others.
2. I am giving my opinion on the topic.
3. Calling out your disgusting behavior is not bullying.
4. This is not a safe space. This is a public discussion forum.
5. I am contributing every time I hit post reply.
6. I am judging.
7. You are the one trying to prevent discussion, with this post alone.

sort of when trump voters get attacked here and I saw that happening in this thread...just saying

are we actually calling this board a safe space..lol

There are a lot of ppl implying the innocence of a monster who killed with ink and the enter key of his computer...

I don't endorse vigilante justice but like... what else can a person do when the system that's supposed to hold these men accountable refuses to do so?

The system is wildly corrupt, what other Avenue do the poor, the destitute and the disenfranchised have?

No, its not public. Its private.
No one is here to engage with folks like you
Youre lonely and desperate for attention
Youre begging for engagement by belittling folks who are happy enjoying something you dont.
Go find a hobby.

You may be right, but public opinion reaction so far has been unexpected. Beyond what the finger-pointers preach, this is not just a horny gays reaction.

This tragedy may be starting something new. It is too soon to make pessimistic or optimistic predictions, but what is happening is extremely interesting.

And this thread is extremely entertaining. Thank you to the mods for your tolerance and sense of humor.
what public opinion...in your silos sure its predictable but make no mistake in the normal world out there people are not cheering on this vile psychopath

I mean people have been fawning over serial killers in the past so...it's not like this is new.

Isn't there a phenomenon described in psychology where people get attracted to killers, regardless of how gruesome they have been?
Ah, found it: Hybristophilia.

Some notable examples include serial killers such as Ted Bundy, who apparently had loads of female fans attending his trials and writing him love letters. Same with Ted Kaczynski and....Bostom bomber Tsarnaev.
Even Dahmer had loads of women fangirling over him, going so far as to sending him money, even though he was gay.

He's not a serial killer but I get it

Also he's presumed innocent.

Also them finding ALL that stuff on him... feels off.

The problem is capitalism was meant to give everyone a chance to succeed. This post-capitalistic society has created organizations that buy up all the competition. The politicians are funded by these mega corps.

I honestly don’t know what the answer is for that, besides hoping politicians grow their own thoughts. I just don’t think killing people will help. It makes us folks that actually care about other humans lives, start to care less about the value of life.

Thanks admin for this!

I do wish the title said

Luigi Mangione (all leaks are fake)

until an actual leak has been found as people will keep posting the same stuff that's been proven to be fake again and again and again
does anyone have the original? we see claims of it being fake all the time but no one seems to know who that dick is from

I don't think it feels off at all. He clearly didn't know what to do next, and he wasn't ready to part with all his stuff. As I said upthread, I personally think he would have been better off just living his life as himself and burning or burying or shredding the evidence, but I'm sure he just didn't know what to do next. Also he seems to be suffering from some kind of mental illness.

Too many people expect situations to fit into these nice boxes fueled by how things "should" be—-and when they don't, it's automatically because of a conspiracy or some shit. In reality, life and humans are messy.

I'm glad I could help you see the hyper obvious!

What you attempted to do (now framed as "soul searching") was to weaponize a deeply harmful experience against another gay man's perspective. Not only is that bad debate tactics, it's a low blow.
